Ottinetti Colander | 18cm

Crafted with function and form in mind, the bowl shaped base of these classic Italian made colanders are perfect for draining hot pasta or vegetables as the water does not pool in the bottom. With a generous length brass handle and small brass hook on opposing side it sits comfortably inside a bowl for easy draining. 

Established in Italy in 1920 this foundry still produces beautiful handcrafted cookware from aluminium. Aluminium is the second best conductor of heat next to copper however it is more cost effective and easier to maintain. This aluminium is certified 99.5% pure which means it is perfectly safe to cook in.

Use & Care:  
Aluminium is not dishwasher safe. Please wash by hand in hot water using a detergent of choice. Some dulling or darkening of the interior will occur with use. This is normal oxidisation.
Where-as it is perfectly safe to cook acidic foods in aluminium pots and pans please do not store acidic foods in them. The acid may cause pitting of the aluminium and result in the food tasting slightly metallic. 

Not suitable for induction hobs.
