Kristina Dam | Framed Illustration | Villa Savoy

Villa Savoye is a modernist villa in Poissy, France. It was designed by Swiss architects Le Corbusier and his cousin, Pierre Jeanneret, and built using reinforced concrete. The iconic villa is representative of the bases of modern architecture and is one of the most easily recognizable. The house was originally built as a country retreat on behest of the Savoye family.  It was thoroughly renovated from 1985 to 1997, and the house opens to visitors year-round.

Kristina Dam Studio has a mission of making art and interior merge, both in furniture, art prints, illustrations and sculptures. The materials used are honest and carefully selected – such as brass, marble, mirror, oak, stone, steel and glass. The major lines in the design are simple and graphic.
